1. Information We Collect

We keep data collection to what the service needs to work.

• Account details: username, email address, and the sign-in provider you use (Google or Facebook).
• Anonymous sessions: a temporary identifier so you can chat without an account. It is discarded when the session ends.
• Chat content: messages are relayed in real time. Anonymous chats are deleted when the conversation ends; saved chats are retained while both participants keep them.
• Media: images you choose to send are stored so the recipient can load them.
• Usage data: pages visited and features used, collected through analytics to help us improve the service.
• Payment records: subscription plan, amount, and transaction reference. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To match you with other users and deliver your messages.
• To provide premium features to subscribers.
• To keep the platform safe — investigating reports, blocking abuse, and enforcing our Community Guidelines.
• To understand which features are used, so we can improve them.

3. What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use the content of your private chats for advertising.
• We do not share your email address with other users.

4. Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us operate: hosting, analytics, and payment processing. They may only use it to provide their service to us.

We may disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect the safety of our users.

5. Retention

Anonymous chats and sessions are removed once the conversation ends. Account data is kept while your account is active.

Deleting your account removes your profile, chat history, friends list, and subscription records. Some records may be retained where we are legally required to keep them.

6. Your Rights

You can access and update your profile from your account settings, and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it. Contact us to make a request.

7. Children

ChatKaro is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor is using the service, please report it and we will remove the account.

8. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to production data is restricted. No online service can promise perfect security, so please use a strong, unique password and be careful about what you share in chat.

9. Changes

We will update this page when this policy changes and revise the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
